This free pattern is for a simple 1850s pelerine. The pattern was traced directly off an original dress I own. The original is done in black silk and lined with a dark polished cotton and trimmed with black silk fringe. But there are a variety of fabrics and trims you can do with this pattern for your own early 1850s dress!
